Man vs Nature

Today forests are getting destroyed to make space for the ever growing population. And as a compromise to all of the destruction of natural landscapes businesses and cities are focusing on "going green" by using all natural materials. With these books I wanted to show the ugliness and irony of destruction.

Through the hard cover flip book you can see the colors change from the beautiful green of a forrest to the dirty brown/grey of the city. I also show the destruction through the forrest fading out and the city quickly fading in and taking its place.

With my second flip book the destruction is a little more hands on. While viewing this book you are physically removing parts of the forrest to expose the city that has taken its place. While turning the pages a quote is exposed. The quote is not shown from beginning to end because during the removal of natural landscapes the greater population is not aware of the big picture until it is too late. Also, to show the irony of businesses going green I used paper that is made of 100% recycled materials.
